Statement for Somerset Eating Disorder Association Trustees
The original proposal, submitted to Brian Cotter, MP for Weston-super-Mare, stands as the prime objective for North Somerset. As the envisaged timeline is very unlikely to be attainable and the most likely date is sometime in the autumn of 2003, ANTS will be formally constituted to secure interim funding to enable the provision of basic assistance to eating disorder sufferers within North Somerset.
The funding secured by ANTS will be used to access the services of SEDA, for a minimum period of one year initially, to provide services on behalf of ANTS.
Should the proposed partnership with the statutory bodies not come to fruition or be further delayed, ANTS will continue to seek further funding to ensure that the provision of services for eating disorder sufferers in North Somerset is continued after the first year of operation.
